1. Open the AI software, create a new document, and I prepare these elements in the document, as shown below:

2. I draw with reference to the original shape. For any regular and symmetrical shape, you can draw half of it first and then mirror out the other half; This method is very common.

3. After drawing a shape, press ALT to copy another object by dragging the mouse, and then press CTRL+D to copy and paste repeatedly, as shown below

4. Then execute “Object” — “Expand”, select all braided shape objects, and then execute the path finder “Syndication”, and finally execute “Effect” — “Stylization” — “Smear”. Smear parameters depend on the effect. My computer configuration is LOW, so I only copy two layers of weaving for different smear effects. If your computer is good, you can copy more objects to add more details.
