Mouse drawing eyes, Photoshop mouse drawing very delicate eyes tutorial
Although it is not very difficult to draw eyes, the preliminary preparation should be very sufficient. It is necessary to be able to accurately decompose each component of the eye and understand its structure and function, so that the effect of painting can be exquisite and true.
Final effect
1、BasicsKnowledge: function and structure
The structure and composition of human eyes are similar: elliptical structure, sharp sides, eyelids, eyelids and eyebrows. It is easy to draw a recognizable eye, like the following picture.
The top-down elements in the figure are listed as follows:
1. Eyebrows: It protects your eyes and blocks dust and sweat on your forehead.
2. Eyelid fold: When the eyes are open, they are folded on the eyeball, both above and below the eyeball.
3. Orbit: The skin is divided into two parts, and takes on an elliptical shape due to the function of the eyeball.
4. Eyelashes: protect eyes from dust, strong light and extra sensory stimulation. In creation, eyelashes are often used to reflect female characteristics.
5. Eye white: the main part of the eye.
6. Iris: It’s actually muscle, isn’t it magic! The iris contracts or expands to adjust the intensity of light entering the pupil.
7. Pupil: the black hole in the middle, through which we can see things, light enters the black hole and forms an image inside our eyes.
8. Lacrimal gland: located on the inner side of both eyes, the source of tears, and the color is pink.
9. Lacrimal gland skin fold: located inside the lacrimal gland.
2. Different eye shapes
The eye sketch above is only a typical example, while the shape of eyes in reality will vary due to race, geography and even age.
The first is the most important factor: race.
Look carefully at the pictures of different people, and you will definitely find differences. Here are some basic shapes: from left to right, from top to bottom, they are almond eye shape, Mongolian eye shape (in the eyes of people in other countries, Chinese eyes are generally considered this shape.), concave eye shape, and drooping eye.
3. Different perspectives and perspectives
The following examples can reflect the changes of eye shape from different angles.
4. Eyes: the mirror of the soul
Humans express emotions through their eyes. Although our eyes are different in shape and size, our reactions to stimuli are instinctively similar.
For example, we squint when focusing, stare when shocked, and stare when surprised and scared.
As long as it is human eyes, it will show the following expressions. You can try to quickly identify these emotions and try to draw them again. Practice these expressions so that you can give the character more emotion when drawing.
5. Draw the outline of the eyes
Now that we have learned so much through one eye, let’s try to combine these contents. Draw the eyes on it quickly, so that we can seriously start to make it. Come with me to become a new Michelangelo!
Create a new canvas, name the existing layer “Background”, set the foreground color to # dcb6a3, and set the background color to # 963931.
Use the gradient tool (G) to set the foreground color to the background color gradient, and drag from left to right to create a gradient layer close to the skin color. Then use the brush tool (B) and use the hard circleBrush, choose to use pressure on “size” and “opacity”, and adjust the foreground color to # 000000.
6. Create a new layer, name it “line draft”, and draw a basic eye shape you like on it. You can directly refer to the eye we first drew, or you can choose one of the eye shapes listed below.
7. Give flesh and blood to eyes: paint white eyes
Step 1
Let’s start with building the foundation – painting the whites of the eyes. Although it is called “eye white”, the eyeball is not pure white, its color changes between light gray, beige and red, and the surface is also attached with red blood.
First, create a new layer, named “eye white”, drag this layer between the “background” and “line draft” layers, and use the gray white (# ddc6bc) hard circle brush to draw the basic color of eye white.
Step 2
Create a new layer above the “white eye” layer, right click and select “Create clip mask”. We will use this layer to draw shadows. The eyeball is a spherical structure. Due to its convex surface, the middle part receives the most light and is relatively bright. The place far away from the center will receive weaker light due to the occlusion of the eyelids and eyelashes, so the darker color should be used.
Let’s use the brush tool (B), pick a hard round brush, and choose to use pressure on Size and Opacity (as above). Adjust the brush size to set the foreground color to # 4f241e. Draw along the edge of the white eye on the created clip mask to create light and shadow effects and 3D vision.
Step 3
Use a darker color, such as # 220b07, to create a dark shadow above the white eye due to the upper eyelid and eyelashes covering.
8. Lacrimal gland painting
Step 1
Because the skin near the lacrimal gland does not completely cover the muscles, we should use more pink. It should be noted that the eyeball and periocular muscles are not so distinct. They interact and fuse with each other. So when we paint, pink will also penetrate into the whites of the eyes, which we will explain below.
Set the foreground color to # 853c2e and the background color to # 5e2218.
Using the same brush, draw the inside of the corner of the eye with a light color, and then use a darker color around the corner of the eye. At the same time, add a little pink to the nearby whites. The following two pictures are the effects of wired draft and non-wired draft. You can compare them.
Step 2
Next, set the foreground color to # d77661 and the background color to white # ffffff, and then reduce the brush size. Zoom in on the canvas and add some highlights to the light part – first use light powder, and finally add a little pure white highlights. This can reflect the surface humidity.
9. Iris and pupil
Step 1
Create a new layer between “eye white” and “line draft”, and name it “iris”.
Set the foreground color to # 6b3826, and draw a circle with reference to the line draft.
Step 2
Eyes with white pupils are quite scary. Now we use black # 000000 to draw a circle in the middle on the basis of the online manuscript to show the pupils.
10. Add details of iris
Step 1
Another new layer! Add a new layer on the “Iris” layer and name it “Iris Detail”.
The part of iris and pupil will penetrate into each other and penetrate into the white eye. In short, there is no absolutely clear boundary!
Set the foreground color to # 240b02, and then adjust the brush size to smear along the edge of the iris and pupil, paying attention to the natural fusion. When painting, pay attention to creating shadows cast by eyelids and eyelids on the upper part of the iris, and don’t worry about painting.
