1. Simple composition
As the old saying goes, “The main road is simple.”.PhotographyThe common mistake that newcomers make is that they want to shoot whatever they want, which is just the fatal point of good composition. A good photo subject (interest center) is enough, and all other elements can be removed.
Don’t be afraid of leaving a large area of white space around the subject. You can also try the minimalist composition: a single prominent subject, a large proportion of a unified clean background. The audience didn’t have so much time to watch the whole picture in detail, so they only need to shoot one subject at a time.
2. Low angle overhead shot
You are shooting from an ordinary perspective. How do you stand out? That’s not easy, as long as the angle is different from them.
Of course, it’s OK for you to choose other innovative angles, but squatting down and shooting with low mobile phones should be the most cost-effective, with less movement and obvious changes in perspective.
Low angle shooting has three advantages:
First, the perspective is rare and fresh.
Second, the sky can be used as the background for the overhead shot, saving the effort to avoid background clutter.
Third, it can be brought close to the ground foreground to enhance the picture level.
When shooting close to the water surface at a low angle, good results can often be obtained.
3. Manufacturing depth
It is not difficult to often hear how stereoscopic and immersive the scenery works of others are. It is not difficult to learn to create a sense of depth in the pictures and attract the audience’s attention.
There are several simple and effective methods:
Use guide lines. Find clear lines from near to far in the scene, such as traffic lines, rails, railings, shorelines, etc.
Bring to the foreground. The foreground is used as a reference to create different levels of distance and distance. The clear outline of flowers, grass, earth and stone can be easily found in the exterior.
It is better to create the front, middle and back layers in the picture, and make good use of the foreground of the frame elements, the middle scene of the main body, and the background scene.
4. Diagonal Alignment
If there is more than one subject in the scene you want to shoot, it is recommended to use the upper bevel alignment to organize the picture. Because all the elements are concentrated on one side of the screen, it is very easy to cause imbalance of the screen.
Especially when shooting still life and people, separate the objects and people on both sides of the diagonal of the picture to get a picture effect with a balanced perspective and weight.
When the items cannot be set manually, you have to step out and shift the camera position and angle to get a balanced picture.
5. Close up details
Another common mistake people make when taking pictures is to get close, but not close enough. Turn on macro mode to shoot natural or artificial textures such as flowers, leaves, water drops, etc.
First close and then slowly move away to find the nearest focusing distance you can shoot. It can be shot with an external close-up lens.
Let the texture details fill your picture, which is the main body of close-up. In addition, you can also try to close up the faces of people or animals.
